Preview, test, and launch your campaign

Testing is the last safety layer before a campaign reaches the full audience.

Module 7Estimated time: 7 minQuality control

Testing is part of the campaign, not an optional extra

The purpose of testing is to catch what users notice immediately: broken links, missing images, poor mobile spacing, inconsistent sender details, awkward personalization, or content that does not match the subject line.

Review the campaign in preview mode

  • Read the email from top to bottom as if it arrived in a real inbox.
  • Check headings, body copy, links, images, buttons, and merge tags.
  • Use mobile preview if it is available in the editor.

Treat warnings as review signals

If NexaMail shows spam score or validation warnings, those messages deserve attention. They do not always mean the campaign must be abandoned, but they do mean the content or setup should be reviewed with care.

Send tests to more than one inbox

Business inbox

Useful for seeing how the message lands in a professional mailbox environment.

Consumer inbox

Useful for checking the message in a more common personal-mail setting.

Mobile device

Useful for checking spacing, readability, and how quickly the call to action is visible.

Educational takeawayA disciplined test process helps users catch errors before subscribers do. That protects both trust and campaign results.

Email campaign testing checklist before launch

A test email should be reviewed as a real customer experience, not merely proof that the platform can send. Open it on desktop and mobile, click every important link and read the full message without the editor visible. Fresh context makes awkward wording and missing information easier to notice.

Separate content approval from technical approval

The person who wrote the campaign may miss familiar errors. Where possible, ask another team member to confirm facts, dates, contact details and tone while the sender checks audience, authentication, tracking and schedule settings.

Personalisation safetyTest records with complete and missing values so a merge field cannot create an embarrassing blank or broken sentence.

Final launch gate

  • Audience and suppression counts look reasonable.
  • From name, reply address and subject line are correct.
  • Dates, prices, service areas and contact details are accurate.
  • Buttons and text links open the intended secure pages.
  • Images include useful alternative text where needed.
  • Unsubscribe and preference links are present and working.
  • The selected schedule uses the correct date, time and time zone.

For high-volume or operational sends, keep a simple approval record. It helps teams understand who confirmed the audience, content and launch time if questions arise later.
